| 10 | LAO-RS-016 | Strengthening Lao PDRs Institutional Capacity and Strategic Frameworks to Boost Access to Climate Finance and Investment in Climate Action. | The Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness Project aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) to design, implement, and partly finance low emissions and climate-resilient projects aligned with its global commitments. The project is being implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) as the Delivery Partner, in close collaboration with the National Designated Authority (NDA) - the Department of Planning and Collaboration (DoPC) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE). As part of the project's efforts to enhance access to and management of climate finance, the NDA coordination mechanism has been established to facilitate dialogue, information sharing, and collaboration among relevant ministries, development partners, accredited entities, and other stakeholders. Regular consultation meetings provide an important platform for stakeholders to exchange updates on climate finance initiatives, discuss emerging opportunities and challenges, strengthen partnerships, and improve coordination in support of Lao PDR's climate action agenda. |
